Welcome to the NFGArmy Ark Server, hosted by Nerd Foundry Gaming! We’re a bunch of Nerds living harmoniously together, building a Community, and having a good time. Our server emphasises on the Merchant aspect of “your typical RP server.” Don’t worry, there’s no Lore, but plenty of Roles: become the Best Breeder, the Fanciest Farmer, or overall Merriest Merchant!

As friendly PvE Community, we offer:

Help

• Trying to find out how to join? Read this WHOLE damn thing!
• Can’t talk in the Ark channel? You have to register and be accepted… See bullet point #1!
• If you can’t access the server but are on the Roster, restart your XBOX; and if it still won’t work, be sure to @ me (@nfgCodex#6697) in #💬ark and I’ll restart the server ASAP.
• There are no uploads or downloads allowed on the server for obvious reasons.
• If you have any questions feel free to ask and others may chime in to assist where they can.
• Admins will create an alliance with anyone on the server
• Admins will spawn in items ONLY for the good of the Community, NOT for personal gain!
• Please refrain from asking admins to resolve any issues that you or Ark may cause from being complicated and buggy.
  • We are not admins to fix the games mistakes, but rather to help build a community.
  • If you get stuck, tames hatch and can’t be removed, or ark is just cruel and you lose everything - oh well, that’s just Ark!
• If you need a server tour, hit up a @Community Manager and they’ll show you around!

Rules

• NO asking in chat or stream about how to join, these rules and the signup are MORE than enough to get you on the server. You will be timed out and warned should you break this rule, and potentially banned.
• NO trolling, no harassment, no racist or homophobic comments.
• DO NOT discuss your age. Anywhere. Ever.
• You must be in Discord with Arkoholic Role assigned to you, and registered with our Form system.
  • You must remain active on both the Ark server and Discord, or you will be removed.
  • We run re-signups every so often to identify who is actively playing on the server.
• Only YOU may access the server. Not your friend, your brother/sister/cousin, etc. Insta-ban for bringing a stranger into the server.
• NO trading / NO Black Markets (see Merchants)
• DO NOT loot or steal from any Community Members or Community Spaces (even if doors are open and boxes are unlocked)
• Brontos are BANNED from being tamed. Do so, and you’ll have a serious infraction!
• To claim a Decayed Tame, you must first announce in #💬ark, then wait 24 hours for approval before taking anything.
• Structure Decay is enabled for roughly 2 months - if your stuff is destroyed, that’s your fault (play more)!
  • If there’s a really cool build please let an Admin know, as we may take it over for a Community space.

Infractions

If you break any of the rules, there will be repercussions. Some rules result in an insta-ban, while others are based on the “3 Strike” rule, or even a “civil fee”. Every so often, we’ll run a Lottery from these collections!

“3 Strike” rule:

1. Punishment
2. Punishment, and 2+ hours locked in a cage (or pay bail)
3. Banned!

Punishments:

• Not in Ark Discord: Insta-ban
• Trolling, harassment, using racist/homophobic phrases: Insta-ban
• Discussing Age: Insta-ban
• Trading/Black Market sales: Both parties lose the item/dino and Currency involved.
• Stealing/Looting someone’s base: something of importance will be destroyed.

Towing:

• Your Tame will be owned by the Admin Tribe.
• To recieve your Tame back, a 100 Nerbos fee (per Tame) will need to be paid in full.
• The tow-lot is located at the main Community Center.
• You can have any Tame towed FROM your property for a non-refundable 50 Nerbos.

Community Spaces

Parking:

• Park in designated parking areas or outside of public spaces to avoid being Towed (see Infractions).
• Leaving a Tame parked at a public space overnight will result in being Towed (see Infractions).
  • This includes Tames for Dino Pit sales. You must take your idle Tames home!

Community Co-ops: The Community Co-ops are various crafting and fishing areas placed throughout the map around resource-rich areas:

• Public access to hard-to-get machinery (industrial forge, chemistry bench, etc)
• Fishing docks (and supplies for boating and fishing) for quality loot.

Community Center: The Community Center is a community space where you’ll find the following:

• Marketplace - These are shops and market stalls where you sell your goods or to buy new gear
• The Dino Sales Pit - This area is the only designated area where you can buy and sell tames
• Arenas - These are designated areas where we host PVP events

Community Villages: These will be built with Creative Mode, run by the community, and located in various places across the map. The Villages will be built for specific uses so stay tuned as they are built.

Currency

Our currency is called “Nerbos” (Ñ). Upon establishing yourself on the server, speak with an Admin to be given a personal stash! You will NOT be given any replacements for any loss that might incur - so guard it wisely. You cannot recieve currency on behalf of another player.

Currency: Gems from Aberration - used as currency as they can’t be obtained, except from Admins or other users through Merchants (tames, weapons, etc).

Banking: Admins are able to exchange currencies for other currencies. If you want to break a higher valued Nerbo to many lower valued Nerbos, or if you want to convert Currencies, ask for Admin Banking! Hit us up when we’re online and we can help out.

Currency Conversion: If you’re low on funds, you can use certain resources to convert to Nerbos for basic goods and light services from others. While it does take longer to obtain, you don’t have to ever go without!

Merchants

As it sounds, the merchants are ultimately responsible for all sales on the server. As a Merchant, you have to put in serious effort, and obtain the best of the best for your clientele.

Common Info:

• Anyone can be a Dino and/or Shop Merchant, just sign up using the Ark Merchant Signup Form (see Links)!
• You can run a shop alone, or with anyone else on the server. Just make sure all names are registered with the shop and Merchant Admin.
• ALL sales must take place at your assigned shop or in the Dino Sales Pit.
• Merchants can sell anything they want, but should specialize their business.
• Merchants set the price of all items and animals for sale.
• Only valid Currency may be used as payment.
• You must use a Smithy (or some other public access storage) for transactions.

Shop Sales:

• Any item that requires an Engram must be sold in a Merchant Shop!
• Doors and Vaults may be provided and you should pin code them.

Dino Pit Sales:

• Tames must be spayed/neutered before the time of sale.
• Tames that require a saddle, must be sold with one.
• Fertilized eggs cannot be sold.

Black Market:

• Black Market deals are illegal (see Infractions)!
• Giving away “must sell” items (engram-required items, tames, etc) is Black Market.
• Buying and selling in locations that aren’t at a Shop is Black Market.
• Buying and selling with anything other than approved Currencies (aka Trading - see Currency) is Black Market.
• Black Market deals are illegal (see Infractions)!

After you submit the form, it will tell you how to join (so don’t immediately close it)!

If you were signed up once before and are rejoining, you’ll need to still sign up, but also remove and readd the server for us to allow you access again.
